Free Chipotle!

Reader Sohana Kutub recently brought this to my attention:

I thought your readers might be interested to know that Chipotle Mexican Grill will take part in the tax “free” weekend by offering Food With Integrity for FREE.

Eat at any Gainesville Chipotle on Tuesday, August 10, or Wednesday, August 11, and save the receipt. Then go back any time during tax “free” weekend, August 13 – 15 and receive a free burrito, salad, order of tacos or bowl with your receipt. No charge. No tax. No strings attached.

Seems pretty simple to me!

Anthony's Wood Fired Pizza opening soon

Anthony's Wood Fired Pizza will be moving in at 1209 W. University Ave., in the old Mellow Mushroom location. No timetable on when it will be opening. Worth noting is that there is an Anthony's Wood Fired Grill in Tallahassee. I am not sure if the two are related. Any info would be much appreciated.

O!O Garden Grille opening in Midtown

Outside the old, now-abandoned location of Cafe Gardens is now a sign that reads "O!O Garden Grille coming soon." For those who don't know, O!O is a tapas and martini bar with excellent food and live music in Haile Plantation. No word on whether the food will be the same style (tapas - appetizers to share) or price (relatively pricey, except on $5 tapas or $5 burger night). Stay tuned!

Maui Teriyaki to open 3rd location

Maui Teriyaki will be opening a third location in Gainesville on May 8th. The new location is in the center on the southeast corner of Archer and 34th, next to Hungry Howie's. It will occupy the space where Italian Quarter previously was. While Maui Teriyaki used to have 4 locations (Tower Road, 13th Street, Ocala, and Alachua), the original Tower Road location is the only one still open. The new Archer Road location will therefore be their second location.
